Oven only heats to 215 degrees will not get any hotter.

Sounds like the heat sensor is bad. I'm assuming this is an electric oven. On the inside back wall of the oven you will see a metal rod sticking out. Unplug the stove, take off the back cover and you'll see where it's attached. Unscrew the keeper and pull it out through the back. Unplug it from the wiring harness.

My maytag oven is showing a f3 code model #che98oobcb

The "F3" fault code is indicating an oven temperature sensor failure or a temperature sensor circuit failure. The oven temperature sensor could be open or shorted. Test the sensor for proper ohm value, frayed or pinch wiring, or connector damage. The oven temperature sensor probe can be found sticking out from the rear wall inside the oven cavity. It will need to be disconnected and tested with an ohm meter. I added a chart in the image below of the resistances of the oven sensor at specific temperatures. At normal ambient room temperature, the oven temperature sensor should have a resistance value of 1050-1100 ohms. See image below. The oven temperature sensor is part #12001655. richroth_137.jpg

Oven not igniting

Very common problem, the ignitor or glow coil heats up but no gas comes out. For me for the last 12 years this repair has always been a weak ignitor. Call your parts store with the model number and check prices on the exact part and on any generic ignitors for this unit. Replace the ignitor and this should do the job. This can be a bad valve not letting the gas through, but again I have never seen that and I replace 4-6 ignitors a week. Good Luck, Appliance Specialists.

I need to know which kind of plug is used on this oven so that the electricians can install the right kind of receptacle. Maytag cwe5800acs 24 Double electric wall oven

Your oven needs to be hard wired to a junction box. No plugs on a oven that pulls 30 or more amps 220v Read your install book that came with the oven.

I have a KEBI17DBL8 Oven that will not work after using the self clean cycle. Should I get the thermostat replaced or but a new oven?

No, no need to get a thermostat or replace the unit...yet.

sounds like a tripped hi-limit thermo.

that model number looks like a double oven wall unit, correct ? if so, big job. if not awesome. if it is, it's hard only because these are heavy. (alot of techs like myself have "wall oven carts" that allow me to remove it fairly easy) you might not have to pull it out though if it's not a wall oven, my bad.

however, I think it may be the older unit's manufactured by "Dacor". if so the limit switch on most of those ranges is a "non-resetable" style. meaning you'll have to replace the themal cut-out or aka thermal switch.
*FIRST, unplug the unit or shut off the breaker.
the hi-limit is located by the latch/lock assembly, so you'll need to dismantle the unit to a degree. if it's a free standing range, it's pretty easy. lift the top and the latch/lock access panel is located right there.

you'll need to determine the "why" as well of course. did the cooling fan/blower fail (#4173004), or the cooling fan therostat (#4173008) ?

the part number you'll need for the thermal switch failure replacement is #814505. check the old one by ohming it out first of course.

hope that helps,

good luck

Older jenn air wall unit oven / turn knob

Yes, I just had same problem. The probe receptical is on the right inside wall of the oven. A little flapper door is secured by a single phillips screw. Remove this screw and the flapper door. Gently remove the receptical and its attached cable adapter. With your screw driver short the connector extension to the housing, just as the probe would. This should reset the meal temperature sensor. Try the bake and problem should be gone. If not permanently short this connection with a wire. You won't be able to use your probe, but the oven will work.
