Question about Independent Inc. Low Profile Heat Lamp Seamed Construction Wall Model - LPHL- Kitchen Hood

1 Answer

Bathroom heat lamp stopped working.

The heat lamp in our bathroom won't turn on, after working reliably for about 3 years - the bulb works in other lighting fixtures so is not a bulb problem and all the bathroom fans and lights go on too, no obvious issues with the power panel or supply... any ideas what could be wrong?

Lamp, fan and lights are all on seprate switches in this bathroom.

Thanks a lot in advance for any advice you can offer.

HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF A BULB THAT CAN LAST UP TO 35 YEARS?

Every home needs good lighting that's energy-efficient and attractive. Good lighting is essential in any home, and it all starts with the humble light bulb.
In comparison to traditional lighting bulbs which release 90% of their energy as heat LED bulbs emit very little.
Many organizations around the world have tested and compared LED-based solutions for municipal and commercial exterior lighting applications, such as LED roadway lighting, LED Street Lights, outdoor LED flood lights and LED shop lighting. The results consistently show the following:
1. Save up to 75% on your light bill.
2. 155,000 hours, or a 30 year bulb life (based on proven LM-80, LM79 and TM-21 Data).
3. features include 141 lm/W LED output, >115 lm/W Fixture.
4. Solid-State Technology delivers hurricane and vibration protection.
5. All products are fully certified & approved.

Fixture not working after bulb change

"CFLs" Compact Fluorescent Bulbs (with built in ballast) must be labeled as dimmable to be used on a dimmer circuit.

Traditional fluorescent fixtures must have a dimmable ballast installed inside and can be used with standard fluorescent lamps.

Fluorescent lamps must be sized to match the ballast. CFL's are matched at the factory, but others are not. Older fluorescent lamp fixtures have a ballast inside. A type rating is to operate (2) 48 inch / 40 watt lamps. Newer fluorescent lamps are rated for 32 watts, and these will not work - or will have a greatly reduced life.

If you installed CFL's, the first thing I would do is install regular incandescent lamps and see if it works as expected. If not, something else is wrong - otherwise - make sure you've got the right lamps in the fixture.

03 Chevy Trailblazer left rear taillight will not work. Brake light, back up light & turn signal all work. Right rear all work. Replaced bulbs, switched sides, still nothing.

There was a recall on this, see your local Chevrolet dealer.... Horn doesn't work, revrese lights won't come on, and 2 of the 3 break lights won't come on on 1995 Geo Tracker. Fuses are good and bulbs are good.

for how long, 1 day, 1 year , 1 decade? is it a daily driver
or a barn stored, winter car.?

the real question,is there 12v exiting the fuse, the acid test. that.
any volt meter does that in 5min flat.
3rd brake light is bad bulb or corroded socket.
what tranny< 3,4,5,sp.? but in each case it takes a good rev.
switch, if 12v enters said switch and does not exit, its bad.
0v bad,6v rev. path shorted to ground,12v good.
btw, all clamps can short, try 1 new one. in each path all by lonesome. dig?
bulbs good means what.
1: look good.
2: glow when placed on a 12v battery
3:measure 0 ohms with meter (means good or shorted.
4: or they are new and assumed good, (p/n ? what is the p/n?)
'
head lamps good.? parking lamps, blinker, are all other lamps working. does car start?

Problems replacing a 2D 4 pin holder fluorescent bathroom light.

I'm sure they made it that way for a reason. Unless you know the specifications will match, don't try to jerry-rig it to fit.

Heard a pop , bulb blew out , replaced bulb , it worked for two days , now red light blinks three times pauses then three times and so on , tv won't turn off light won't turn off unless I unplug...

3 blinks indicates lamp door is not on or has not been reinstalled properly. This also could mean the lamp door switch has failed itself. Try removing the lamp door and putting back on, if that doesnt correct the problem then I recommend having the switch replaced.

Hi,

The most common cause of Panasonic Rear Projection LCD TVs not starting is bulb failure. The PT-60LC13 users manual gives some help in translating the LEDs on the front of the TV.

If the TV worked normally for a period of time (months or years) and won't start, the most likely cause is bulb failure. There is no way to measure the bulb, sometimes the bulb is visibly damaged when it fails. Remove the Lamp Assembly and look at the bulb.

If there was an On-Screen Lamp Replace warning and TV won't start, bulb has failed.

The first step with all Panasonic Rear Projection TV "No Picture" problems is bulb replacement. If that does not remedy the problem, get a technician, there are no user serviceable parts. Guessing if the ballast, power supply, controller board or optical engine is faulty is not practical.

The Panasonic Lamp Gallery shows all Panasonic models and Lamp Numbers. There is also a link to Panasonic DIY bulb and lamp replacement.

sounds like a loose connection. You will need to take fixture down and check to see if the wire nuts are tight. Make sure power is off. Also, check to make sure the sockets are tight where the bulbs screw in. Hope this helps Tim
