Installed this motherboard but PC will not boot up past the windows resume page, keeps resetting the power. CMOS jumper position seems to be mislabelled in the manual as it appears to be in the CLEAR...

Hello
Resetting? Have a look at your memory stick locations. There should be 4 slots, each a color.

Say blue orange and blue orange. If your using 2 sticks they both need to be in either both blue or orange slots.
If your using 3 sticks then its Blue orange and orange. Also the jumper not be in the clear position.
It needs to be in the 2and 3 position. The 1 and 2 position is to clear the c mos.2 and 3 are for normal operation.

Changed cpu multiplier from 17 to 19 now have blank screen on foxconn a88gmx, cant reset as cannot access bios

Try clearing the CMOS --- the down side is your lose all your setting --- the up side is you should be
able to access your BIOS

Clear CMOS Jumper: CLR_CMOS1 ( Located near CMOS battery )
The motherboard uses CMOS RAM to store the basic hardware information (such as BIOS data,
date, time information, hardware password...etc.). Clear CMOS data is the fast way to go back to
factory default when the BIOS settings were mistakenly modified.
The steps to clear CMOS data are :
1. Turn off the computer, unplug the power cord from the power outlet.
2. Remove jumper cap from pins 2-3, put it onto pins 1-2 to short them.
This will clear CMOS data.
3. Return the setting to its original with pins 2-3 closed.
4. Plug in the power cord to your computer and turn it on.
5. Go to BIOS Setup to configure new system as described in next chapter.

Clearing up cmos

Dear seth79

As with any CMOS it ussually takes 2 seconds :) but to be completely sure take 30 seconds at each step.

1. Lifting off the jumper - 30 seconds
2. Bridging the pins indicating by the M/B manual - Another 30 seconds
3. Connecting the jumper to its original location.

Please remember to switch of the computer completely off before doing this. (Even the PSU if possible)
Also ground yourself in order to avoid ESD discharge damage on the components near your fingers.
