How do i bypass the e-brake on this unit


u might have to ground the e brake wire on the radio.but u might have to put a switch on it to duplicate what the e brake does

AVX-P8DVD need to know how to bypass the parking break safty feature


Take the Park Wire, via a 100 - 1000 ohm resistor, to stop any potential damage if wrongly connected, AND this lead is taken, either to + 12 volts DC, always ON... or - 12V DC or Earth. Some also work through the Stop Lights Bulb resistance... But I am sure you get the idea.

Radio wont power up


check the line fuse on the red and yellow wires if there are any should be housed in clip plastic container.

My JVC KD-AVX44 keeps flashing up the ''parking brake'' even though the green wire has been attatched to the handbrake.


hi ok first of all unless you want your vid not to show while the parking break is off i can fix this for you :) simply take your parking break wire and connect it to your ground from the wireing harness tada end of story my friend now you have vid and full fuctionality of your deck 100% of the time feel free to email me if you have anymore questions (i own black widow car audio also own a jvc avx 820 works with all jvc models)

was simple i got in touch with as i do not have a manuel got lost some how so i got the diagram and was able to solve the problem infact its got a usb port at the back of the unite just pluged y ipod usb in

wire a switch from the purple and white wire to ground the wire should say e-brake or something to that degree. turn on the radio so it says that message then flick the switch 1 or 2 times till i comes on
