Question about Audio Players & Recorders

Open Question

Sharper Image SI321 -  I cannot get clock to function after changing the battery. I'm getting power (charges my iPod) and the display light goes on, but there is no actual numbers displayed and none of the buttons work ... set, radio, soother. Is there an internal reset button?  Thanks, Phil

The second si321 we pruchased is not anything like the first unit we purchased. Second unit does not hold the time or alarm time-unit keeps returning to 12:00 am. The display flashed low battery and after changing out the 9v battery, the unit had to be reset for time/alarm etc (odd considering the bottom of the unit states the 9v battery is for clock backup) even with the unit still plugged in to the wall. Now there are no display numbers - only the blue back light - no sounds, etc

SOURCE: Lost functionality

I suppose I should offer my comment as a solution?

I too have the exact same problem, with a EX-Z850, and an online search turns up others with similar Casio Exilim models, with the same problem. It involves a malfunctioning Disp, Zoom, and non-functioning Set button, with all other functions working OK. Casio Support seems to recognize the problem, and indicates it has to be fixed at one of their authorized repair centers. Start with their online system: https://www.ecasiorepair.com/

I have the S1721 Travel Soother Radio Alarm Clock. It has stopped & a radio technician said it can't be fixed. It is THE best radio on the planet because it has a radio timer. I cannot find anything...

I came home and found a weird display showing 12 00 and ______f. Nothing worked, even when I unplugged it and took the batteries out. (I really, really like this clock radio so I wanted to find a solution).

I looked for a "reset" button and found one in the back inside the battery case (you have to remove the battery case cover). I took a pin and pressed it into the reset slot. I had to do this several times, turning it on/off and pressing several buttons and plugging, unplugging the clock/radio. It cycled through several times, then slowly the functions started to return, almost one function at a time. After several cycles of this, it turned itself back on and started working again!

Need 12 hour setting instead of 24 hour

I owned mine for years. This seems to happen when the power goes out. Push the mode button twice to get into the time set section. Once you are there, just keep pushing the mode button until the "pm" notification shows up on the digital display in the upper left corner. Once you get that use the 1-4 keys to set the clock. Good luck.

Sharper Image S1785 Clock Settings

When setting-up the time (by pushing the "mode" button), the alarm time set comes up first, followed by the time set.
When setting the proper hour in this mode, simply continue through the military "24 hour" cycle and the second cycle of 24 hours will be in the 12 hour format.
Continue through and finish the mode set-up function and your up and running. --

12 hour vs 24 hour read on clock

Push the "mode" button twice to enter the time change function. Once the display is blinking keep pushing the mode button until you see the "pm" icon on the LCD display. When that happens set the clock as you normally would using the 1-4 keys.

Remember to check if the 12 hour clock is set to AM or PM.

Good luck.
