is green wire from thermostat or from outdoor. retrace and change as needed. If not Goodman has a tech support number you can call while looking at unit.

Gas mantels you can get them in home hardware or most heating/plumbing shops , they do fall apart with the heat over time .

Had a problem with the thermostat connected to GW-50-4 Wall furnace. One fan is not working at all, the other fan runs continuously even when the furnace isn't running. Is there a control swith or...


Jake, it sounds like the motor coil wiring on the blower that doesn't work may be damaged or has been disconnected.

Regarding the one that is still running. The automatic fan control is located on the bottom of the blower assembly. The fan control is a nonadjustable, automatic type. The fan control will require between 3 and 7 minutes of main burner operation before the fan control "closes" and activates the blower. The blower will continue to run between 3 and 7 minutes after the main burner shuts off, before the fan control "opens" and deactivates the blower. In which case, if it continues to run and run and run, the fan control switch (part # R-2503) may have failed and will need to be replaced. You can order the part from Empire Comfort Systems Tech Service 800-851-3153. Have the Model Number, Serial Number of the heater handy, as well a the Part Number. when you call.

Remove the small copper colores tubing going from the gas valve to the pilot assembly. Take it to a good hardware store that sells heaters and ask them for a new one.It is called a thermocouple.

My Payne Heater burners will not light even though the pilot is lit


Make sure you set to on position after you lite the pilot. If you do have it on. You need to check gas valve to see if you have 24 volts present at valve. Unless you know a little about furnaces you may need to call a service tech. Ask for free estimate to make sure you know what the cost is. Rus

Reverse polarity


Its a simple fix. Follow the cord that plugs into the wall into the furnace. Or if its hard wire, follow the romex wire that goes into your furnace. Inside the furnace, switch the white and black wires that connects to the power cord. www.fastacservice.com
