Hi welcome to fixya Make sure you have the machine set on straight stitch and if you have a three needle position make sure it is in the centre, if you have a three position needle and it is in the centre but the needle is not, take the top off the machine and you will see two adjusting screws on the lever, you can slacken those screws off and move the needle to where you want it, if you do not have a three position needle you will find the adjusting screw on the needle bar itself which will adjust the needle bar when you slacken it off because it is a concentric screw.

    Try this following fixes

    Rethread your needle

    It may be threaded incorrect

    Reinsert your needle
Make sure it goes all the way into the holder and that it’s positioned correctly – usually with the
flat side away from the bobbin, but consult your machine’s manual to be sure.

    Change your needle
Your needle may be blunt, bent, or otherwise damaged.

Your fabric may require a different needle. Generally, heavier fabrics require larger needles and
thinner fabrics, smaller needles. You may also need a larger needle if
you’re sewing through many layers of fabric. And make sure to use a ballpoint needle for knit
fabrics and a sharp needle for wovens

And make sure your needle is appropriate for the type of thread you’re using.

Adjust the pressure of your pressure foot
It may be too light for your fabric.

    Change your thread
If your upper thread and bobbin threads are different types, try using the same thread for
both. And use a good quality, brand name thread.

    Adjust your thread tension
It may be too tight or too loose.

    Rethread your machine
    It may be threaded incorrectly.

    Change your needle plate
Try switching to a needle plate with a smaller hole .

What number is satin stitch on Piaf quilt expressions 4.0

A satin stitch is simply a zig-zag stitch that is shortened enough so the threads lay next to each other without laying over another but also without any space (fabric) showing between. Keep in mind that the thread weight will cause the satin stitch to differ.

Pfaff 2056 display screen went dark. The machine will still sew straight stitch but can't change stitches.

Most likely a computer component that controls the screen has failed. May or may not be an expensive fix--check with your technician.

The presser foot lever keeps falling down when set in the up position on my Pfaff Performance 2056. How do I fix it?

The presser foot return spring needs to be replaced, it's a inexpensive repair.
This sounds like a job for a repair shop.

2056 the understitch is loose. Is this a problem wit the tension ?

Sounds like a threading problem. Thread the machine all the way to the needle but not the needle eye. Then pull on the thread and lift the presser foot up and down. You should have tension when it is down and no tension when it is up. If this is the case try sewing, should fix the problem. If this is not the case your machine will need to be adjusted buy your pfaff dealer.
Hope this helps
