Question about Philips Magnavox 60PP9701 60" Rear Projection Television
When the light colors are on the screen the picture gets smaller
I have a Philips 60pp9701 rear projection TV. I need to replace the crt bulbs and need step by step instructions on how to access them, purchase them and replace and adjust them.

I had the same issue. The screen would shrink and then expand over and over. After thrity minutes it would correct itself.
After a few months of doing this it just broke - no sound and no videe but the power light was still on.
I searched these forums but did not find clear instructions or kits on how to fix it. I gave up and called in a repair tech. He fixed my TV in less than 30 minutes.
To help others I documented the fix and created a repair kit and step by step quide on how to fix the problem. You can find it here. http://www.magnavoxhelp.com

If the picture is changing size when bright images appear on screen, then a power regulator issue is what you have. Have a technician look at it.
