Re: losing volume

Here is the link for the user manual if you need it; page 12 gives battery replacement instructions. I would expect a new battery would solve the problem, even if the charge indicator says that the battery is fine. Something to also check is that some dust or whatever hasen't got lodged in the headphone socket on the handset - that could have this effect. check the voice enhancer settings - page 31 - try changing them and see what you get. Hope this helps - my bet is on the battery :)

How do i increase the volume ob the receiver, not the ringer volume ,voice while speaking as i cant hear the other party loud enough

When you are talking on the phone (or listening to a dial tone), the volume control works to control the volume of the receiver. When the phone is not being used, the volume control is used to control the volume of the ringer.

Speaker phone problem

It is possible. I have ATT 945(?) 4 line phones that communicate via a DSL-like signal between units to do special things like intercom, etc.

What I have in my setup is that I have a seperate line from the point of entry of my phone line to my DSL modem.

I then have TWO stacked DSL filters PER LINE that feed the main phone line running to all the phones.

Be AWARE that when using the speaker phone there is a modulation of the gains both directions. When you talk OR have a noisy background noise, the gain of the speaker is cut down to prevent feedback. And when you go silent, the speaker gain is increased for you to hear the other side of the call. Essentially it takes as much discipline as the old two-way radios... one talker at a time with these speaker phones AND very little background noise.

Speaker phone volume keeps going loud and quiet

Did the location change, a Echo from a wall or vibration from the table. It is a one way sound, someone talks and you hear. As soon as you talk it cuts out the speaker even if they are still talking and it transmitts what you say. So any noise in the room could trigger the the transmit mode even an echo from the sound being turned up too loud. The mike is on the bottom of the base and can pick up table vibration and send it into transmit mode. So the person talking cuts in and out.
