Any audio system can generate heat while working , if you feel within 5minits over heat ( ie, you con't touch continously) and you feel any disturbence in your audio sound then only the amplifier has problem otherwise no need to worry about it.
Mine gets pretty warm too but only when I run my system as loud as I can at full power. My eardrums complain about the power before my amp overheats though. :-)

the higher the Ohm the lower the power, but the lower the heat. the lower the ohm the higher the power, but more heat. known to happen to alot of people that dont know what ohms are runin on what. and what configuration to get full potential out of your setup.

it depends on what ohm your sub is wired to. and what the amp handle for 1OHM load 2OH load 4OHM load. the higher the ohm the less power but less heat, the lower the ohm more power but more heat so all depends on what you have hooked up .

its normal if the amps is giving the full potential, but also know that it must be in a cool area to get air, also know that it must have 4 ohms load..

All Chips generate heat when running, so the thing to do is decide if you're just feeling normal heat. If you can't leave your finger on the problem chip for several seconds - its bad.
