Question about Computers & Internet
Boss i am having problems with drivers for dell xps 1530 for windows xp , plz help out
I've Dell XPS 1530 and i recently switched from Vista Home Premium to XP Prof. as I feel more comfortable with xp.
But now I am tired of looking for drivers.
I'll be thankfull for the help.
I have the same problem but I also have a suggestion, 1st identify all hardware you need drivers for and search drivers indivually on manufactures site. and/or once XP is installed goto "Driverguide.com" or a simular site and download the automatic driver identifier update program. That Free program identifies hardware and lists drivers automatically. As alot of people seem to have this problem it would be great if once these drivers are located someone posted all the drivers for others to download.

Because of the fact that this is a vista computer, dell does not have a support fior xp. therefore the only way you are going to download a package of drivers is to look through delss site, http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&ServiceTag=&SystemID=XPS_M1530&os=WLH&osl=en&catid=&impid=
for a similar model to yours o,. Or go to that sight and just look through xp computers for each componenet you have in yours. My personal suggestion would be to search for a driver for your Network card. then plug it into the internet and update to service pack two if you havent already by goining to http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=049c9dbe-3b8e-4f30-8245-9e368d3cdb5a&displaylang=en
then just let it find the rest of the drivers you need. that should do 90 % of them. Then use the first link i gave you to find the straglers.
Hope this helps.
