Question about Sewing Machines
I was sewing just fine until a needle broke. I have rethreaded my machine many times (spent 5 hours!) with no good results. The serger will not form loops. Nothing else looks to be wrong. Can you please advise and thank you in advance!
Probably the needle hit one of the loopers and left a burr on it that is catching the thread. Run your finger nail acroos the edges of the loopers. If you find a burr it can be polished off using very, very fine crocus paper from a hardware store.
Or the needle hit a the upper looper and knocked it slightly out of position.
After you have it threaded (correctly) turn it slow by hand and watch the loopers very closely. You will probably see what is happening.
