Power led ok i put a new dvd writer in my computer and i messed up the wirers that puged into the mother board plzzz help me fine a diagram so i can put them back right

open the side panel of cpu and check the power line from smps box to writer and data bus line from mother board to writer.use lense cleaner.
And also check the motor,writing speed

I missed your question, anyways. as it seems there might be the reason of over heating. I would suggest just remove the heatsink apply proper heatsink paste on CPU and replace your heatsink and fan. heat must radiate properly.

check the power cable that have signal or not.it have 4 colorful wire.then if it was ok,maybe ur drivehave some special problem in is connector & in the inside board.it must check carefully.if u cant do it urself,send itto the seller or for repair

Plz change ur dvd player bcz it was 2 old

I had the same issue with a liteon DVD drive I had. It worked fine and then one day it couldn't write to a DVD if I paid it to. I troubleshooted it for a few days, installed all the latest updates and patches and still nothing. From what I could tell, it baiscally died. So fortunately Liteons are relatively cheap so I just went out and got another LiteOn and it worked just fine. I would consider purchasing a new Drive.

For installing your DVD Writer follow these steps...

First , Place your DVD Writer in a Suitable position and fix it by the screws.

1. From your CPU SMPS(i.e, power box) you will have many set of wires coming with white plugs.Take one of those wires. Plug that into your writer's back side.REMEMBER you should plug it in the way that Yellow color wire should in the outer end and two black wires in the middle and red at the inner end.
2. If you dont find any wire in your CPU , use the one which is given to you ,which is a splitter in the DVD box.
3. Use the data cable given along with the DVD writer. Connect that Data cable( cable which is Wide and looks like stripes) from ur Mother board to the back side of the DVD writer. Take care that it is not connected upside down.

If computer is not powering on then open u r cpu and check the SMPS i.e Switch mode power supply which converts AC to DC it gives a output of 5v & 12v in that the 20 pin or 24 pin connector which is connected to the mother board remove that and short the wires Green and Black and make sure to remove all the power connectors i.e,hard disk,Cdrom or cd writer or DVD writer or any other device and one more connecto which is a four pin connector which is connected to the mother board please remove and test the 20 or 24 pin connector by shorting green and black and behind the smps u have a power cord of ac 220v just plug it and switch on if smps fan rotates that means it's fine then the problem willbe on the mother board just try this

Hi check the cables from the case to the mother board. They should be marked and the book that came with the board will tell you where to connect them. The std markings are HDD [red led] PWR S [powerswitch] RSW [reset switch] PWR LED [case power light] To test if there is no fault in the board or power pack. first visualy check the board to see if you have a red led light on when the power is turned on, if not the problem is in the power pack or the wall outlet. second if the light is on, the bridge the pins marked pwr switch on the board with a screw driver and this should start the computer, if not you have a faulty board.
