Re: IC2

It is a known defect that polaroid won't stand behind!  The original part which I suggest not to but b/c it will just burn up again is UI8007S-1...I highly suggest buying an upgraded part from which is UI8007S-1MSS, and actually less expensive than the worthless original.
I will never purchase a Polaroid product again!!!!

What exact part do I need to replace for a back-light issue on my LG TV? Is is the inverter part of the main board?

Some sets have a separate inverter board to power the back lights. Others have the inverter circuits included on the main board. What you need to do is find out what is what with the assistance of LG and go out and replace the appropriate board. Make sure it is the exact same number so you have no hassles.

Panasonic TC P5G20 turns on but screen will not activate. It then clicks and the led blinks 13 times. I've turned it off and on a few times and once the light blinked 4 times, but it's now...

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

Stony LCD 2007 goes off and screen comes on saying it needs projection lamp. Is this something I can replace myself ?

Yes, the lamps are made to be for most models replaceable by the owner.

Most the lamp is located up front behind the cover below the screen (Model number?) and you remove a door, back out two (usually Allen bolts) and the whole cartridge with lamp pulls out (has a handle).

To get a idea of lamp price Google the model number with "lamp".

You Tube has video instructions for replacing the lamp for most models---Get a original Sony replacement and not a generic one.

Bulbs are sold either loose or the whole thing with the cartridge--get the cartridge as easy to replace.

Sony bravia KDL-37XBR6 wont turn on at all, and blinks 6 times..

The 6X blink code is a bad back light error. could be one of the florescent bulbs in the panel if it shows a picture for a couple seconds and there is a darker band across the screen. Also Found loose connector CN6153 on the G5 Power Board.
CN6153 goes to CN6702 on the D4 board. Or the power board

Toshiba television and universal remote problems

Hi, as the sets get older the codes for older models get deleted to make room in the remotes memory chip for the newer models, this is probably why none of the universals will work for you, post the model number found on the back cover of your tv & I`ll look it up to see if theres a sub or the original is still available, video-tek

SonyTV Model # KV-32FV300

Your set is putting out a self diagnosis. due to no raster or CRT current refernce pulse is small. What this means is probaly IC 561(video out) is faulty on the A board, Or IC702 on C board is faulty, or your Screen G2 is out of adjustment. How are your troubleshooting skills. You will no doubt need a service manual with schematics to solve this issue . Let me know if I can be of further assistance on this
