Question about HP Compaq Presario V2000 Notebook
Hi I have problem with my hp/Compaq V2000(Does't TURN ON). It seems like the problem comes from the power jack. I'm just wondering if it would be hard to replace the power jack on my labtop. It costs me $200 to have someone replace it for me. I would like to try it myself. Any suggestion? Thanks. Ava
Sepi, Here is the service manual for your laptop: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c00636251.pdf You can probably get your replacement part from Ebay, I saw several listed. The real issue is probably going to be if you have the skills, tools and time to successfully disassemble, repair and reassemble your laptop. Expect to spend about 1 or 2 hours during the process. Be sure to protect the system board and other parts from static charges and slips of the screwdriver. Good luck and please don?t forget to rate this post.
