Can't see 1440x900 resolution in display settings.

I bought a new Intel C2D with Intel DG31PR motherboard and Acer V193w monitor. I installed intel display drivers, monitor drivers and acer display management software also. But still I can't get 1440x900 resolution which is recommanded for the monitor.
Please help. Thanks in advance.

    Hi ninja502,

Actually maximum resolution I can see in the diaplay properties is too high.

But it does not show required (1440x900) resolution of wide-screen format which is lower than the max. supported by motherboard.

ther same problem but with Samsung SyncMaster 923NW 21" widescreen

  • Anonymous Jan 24, 2009

I too am having this very same issue, with the Samsung SyncMaster 933BW.

In display settings, I am given choices above and beyond the 1440x900 (but it skips from 1280x768 to 1600x1200). I even tried going to the website that Samsung suggested and loaded their SyncMaster 933GW.SyncMaster Magic CX933BWCX933GW (Analog) driver.

    - For this monitor, the recommended resolution is the 1440x900 that I cannot seem to adjust to... and any other setting is either extremely small, or way too large & doesn't look correct.

    Any suggestions?

If your using the intergraded video i dont think you will get the max that the lcd monitor support.if you want that high of a screen resolution then you would need to upgrade the video card

Y intel dg31pr motherbord has no display after booting

It could be your video either the on board Video or the card you have installed. If you installed a Video card make sure it is fully seated and properly installed. If you are using the on board video make sure you have the jumpers set correctly and you have no bent pins on your cable to the monitor. Test the monitor on another computer to be sure the monitor is working.

I use intel DG31PR motherboard.. and when i boot again my computer after shutdown it.. my monitor won't display and if it displa.. it stock on the BIOS.. what may cause this kind of Problem?

Try pressing f8 on boot-up and select safe mode.
If you can get into safe mode then all you need to do is decrease your screen resolution in display settings to 640X480 then click apply and reboot the computer. after reboot gradually increase the screen resolution a click at a time until you get it back where you want it at.

Intel dg31pr mother board why dont show display?

First check your num lock led if it on and off when you press num lock key then your cpu is ok.
Then therer is issue with monitor to cpu loose connection
or
Screen resolution problem.
For that when you power up press F8 key then enter in enable vga mode.then go to control panel and dispaly then settings then change screeen resolution to 1024*768 then apply and ok.
Aslo reconnect connection from monitor to cpu vga port.
Also check in bios some times your harddisk is not detected proeprly.
If problem still remains open cpu cabinet and reconnect data cable and power cable to harddisk.
Refix RAM memory.
Pull cmos cell for 15 minutes then check.
Thanks for using fixya.
Pls rate solution if it help you .

Can't see 1440x900 resolution in display settings. in LG w1942s

go into the refrash rate and change it to something other than what it is you may need to go up or down it depents on the manufacture settings. also they may say the monitor can do it but it cannot do it, drivers are a big factor also.

right click, select the vedio card options, software option for the card, or properties, display options

control panal, open up personalization, diplay settings, advance setting, choose the best option for your needs.

Intel DG31PR Motherboard Problem

Memory is key element on all motherboards and hard to believe they are all selective of memory . You have the wrong memory for that motherboard . Sorry . Here is list you can select for the motherboard ( only ones that will work with it )

Anything other than what is listed will not work with your motherboard .

1440x900 resolution required

check and make sure that you are using the Intel drivers and not the default windows xp drivers. The default drivers are very limited and only offer a few different resolutions to choose from.
