It sounds like either the TV or the device is trying to do S video instead of composite video.
see if you can change the output type of the media player and make sure that the TV input is not set to S Video.
You could try on different TV and see if it works however some devices has the capability to just send the video signal but no audio, check your cellphone manual and see if the phone support video+audio through HDMI.
I suggest that you go to the nearest Boostmobile store to have your phone checked. Here's a link to locate the nearest Boost store within your area:
FYI, Boostmobile is an affiliate of Sprint so maybe a Sprint store might be an alternative if no Boostmobile store is nearby.
Here are some troubleshooting steps you might want to try:
Take the battery out for about 30 seconds and try to turn on the phone. When the phone goes to the white screen, just press the OK button (the circle button in the middle of the directional buttons) for more than like 3 seconds and you'll see the Motorola logo (do nothing) and then the phone will power ON by itself...it's very much like turning the phone off but without having to press the power on/off button. If this doesn't work, then you really need to go to their store for help.
my gosh! u have the same situation as mine..my phone is sew705 as well..just this morning i went to smart wireless center to personally have my internet settings activated..because like you did, i called the customer service and they just kept on telling me to wait w/in 24 hours to receive a confirmation settings..but..nothing happened..so at the smart center, yes, i did had my phone settings activated.. kaya lang, kahit na activated na ang 3g/gprs/mms settings ng phone ko.. wala pa ring nagyari!!! everytime i try to connect to the internet, "connection failed" pa rin!! coz there, i found out that their lists of handset aren't updated.. wala pa silang phone settings for sew705.. kaya ang ginamit na settings ay yung sa sew700i..but still, i'm hoping na sana after few days.. eh, ok na yung connection..
so i guess, better go to smart wireless center na rin for immediate results.. and see for yourself.. baka naman maging ok ang sa phone mo... :-)
Start by eliminating the variables. Connect a source that you know is working (e.g. a VCR or DVR that is working on another TV) to your TV. If you get the same result, connect it to a different input and, if possible, different input type. If you still get the same result, your TV is bad. Most standard TVs are not worth fixing since it costs almost as much to fix them as to purchase a new one.
If changing the input fixes the problem, the TV has a bad input and you can just switch to a new input.
If changing the source fixes the problem, your source is bad and needs to be repaired or replaced.
Be sure to use cables that you know to be good by testing them on another source/TV system.
If changing the cables fixes the problem, then replace the cables.
