I've seen refrigerators that are working fine blow GFI outlets when the compressor starts, usually just change to non GFI outlet for fix. You say its tripping GFI breaker , is there anyway to test it on non GFI breaker?

Westinghouse RJ442 fridge was working now tripping

Is it a GFI that it is tripping. If it is using an extension cord try plugging into a non GFI outlet.

GFI outlet is tripping because of refrigerator in the garage.

Hi: Yes, replace the GFI outlet. A refrigerator should not be plugged into one for what you are experiencing and food loss. This was an easy answer for me, but unfortunately not for you The owners manual covers this, but us men don't read them (Well I had to as I worked with them for 30 years). Good luck, Jeff

Everytime I plug in the power cord, it trips the breaker.

Refrigerators are not designed to run on a GFCI. Try a heavy duty extension cord to the fridge from a outlet that is not GFCI protected. If it still trips you probably have a short circuit in the compressor.

Frigidaire side-by-side refrigerator keeps tripping GFI outlet.

We had same problem with different fridge. Is the fridge cooling things? When ours did that we needed to replace the relay overload start capacitor it's called a three in one. It acts like a giant battery to give your compressor a n extra boost to get started runs about 25 bucks relatively easy fix only has three wires to connect

Beverage air dd78 comp.wont start..tripping GFI

Refrigerators often will trip the gfi via the compressor. If you have checked all the wiring. The problem is likely in the compressor windings. I have had this occur in brand new units. Another thing to check the gfi, less expensive gfi outlets do not handle refrigeration equipment well. You should consider getting an industrial rated outlet. Hope this helps.
