Open the printer by double clicking on its name in the "Printers and Faxes" area of your Start menu. Highlight the first document on the top of the list, and delete it. If the following print jobs don't print, delete all of them, restart the computer, then send a print job to the printer.

Hp 1710n printer had a paper jam, I fixed it but it still says it has a parer jam and won't print no matter what I do.

Try unplugging the printer from the power supply WHILE IT IS SWITCHED ON. Then disconnect the data cable. Now reconnect the power cable, followed by the data cable.
This will work for several problems but is not guaranteed.

You will have to reset the printer, Unplug from wall, unplug from PC, reboot, Now, plug in Power to printer, & plug in USB on PC, reboot. When at desktop next, well, now try printing again.

The orange down arrow light keeps blinking. what's wrong?

This means that either the printer is out of paper or there is a paper jam.

Try to check all feeds for a paper jam. Once the jam is cleared your printer should resume printing again.

Sometimes even a small peice of paper can cause the printer jam

Hi, try putting a little 3 in 1 light oil on the bar thgat the print head runs on, the 'bale bar' as it is called can get dry and jam, only put a little oin in 6 or 7 places otherwise, you may end up with oil in the parer drive mechanism.
