Re: I need to restore to factory settings
Assuming that you havent deleted the recovery partition...
In the Bios is a setting that enables or disbles D2D (Disk2Disk)
Make sure that is enabled then try Alt+F10 again
If the partition is deleted then u can use a partition recovery program (IE Partition magic, active partition recovery, Etc) to try and restore it (save all your data before using any recovery programs)

If windows will not boot.
Turn computer on .
Hold Alt and keep pressing F10 when the Acer logo is on screen.

If you have never used erecovery the default password is (six zeros )
Select factory (top of list)
laptops have a built-in recovery mode on the system wherein you can
restore the computer to factory default (please note that this will erase everything). The hotkey for the
recovery is the ALT+F10 key. After you press the power button, you
need to hold ALT and then simultaneously press the F10 key to start system recovery. Once the recovery menu has loaded, click Restore to Factory Default Settings.
You can restore the computer back to factory default,to do so, follow the below steps: Turn OFF the computer, now as soon as you hit the power button, keep on holding "Alt" key & keep on tapping "F10" key, i.e Alt+f10, it will open the recovery console, select full factory restore and follow onscreen instruction. NOTE: This will erase all the datas on the computer.
You can also create a set to Recovery disk from the recovery partition, to do so
Start Menu> All Programs> Acer erecovery management> Click Create Factory Default Disk, if you receive any error code or unable to burn the disk, please contact Acer Technical support at 1 800 816 2237 and order for an Recovery Disk.
The ALT+F10 routine should work if the ALT key is held down and the F10 key is repeatedly depressed before and during the Acer logo display. If you still have a working M/C then the recovery routine can be accessed from START / ALL PROGAMS and selecting Acer Empowering Technology and then Acer recovery Management. This might differ a little because you have a netbook
If windows is running you can start it by going to Programs, Acer Empowering Technology and run the Acer eRecovery Management. Note that on the bottom of the eRecovery Management window are 3 choices, Backup, Burn Disk and Restore. Click on Restore. Here you have the choice of select Restore System to Factory Default.
If windows is not working but the system boots -
Reboot the system and when the Acer logo appears, hold down the ALT key and press F10. This starts the recovery process, just follow the instructions.
I have a feeling you will have contact www.acer.com for them to reset the emanager password for you.
Have you tried to restore this unit,
It shouldn't be passworded either just reset back to original install.
