Re: Erased the code
FOR YOUR SECURITY THE COMBINATION MUST BE CHANGED WHEN THE LOCK IS INSTALLED. The door must be open. On models with the passage feature, make sure the passage feature is disengaged: turn knob or key should be in vertical position (A) (see figure 14-1). 1. Insert the DF-59 control key (B) into the combination change plug assembly (C) and unscrew the cylinder by turning the key counterclockwise. Remove the combination change plug to gain access to the combination change sleeve (see figure 14-1). 2. Turn the outside knob once clockwise (all the way, until it stops) then release. The latch should not retract (see figure 14-4). 3. Enter the existing combination. On new installations, use the factory-set combination: depress 2 and 4 simultaneously, (release), then 3 (release). You should feel a slight click as each button is depressed. 4. Insert the spanner wrench as shown in Figure 14-2 to engage the combination change sleeve (A). Gently turn the spanner wrench clockwise to the stop position (a slight click should be felt), then turn the spanner wrench counterclockwise to the stop position (A) (see figure 14-3). Remove the spanner wrench. 5. Turn the outside knob once clockwise all the way until it stops, then release. The latch should not retract (see figure 14-4). 6. Choose your new combination, write it on page 26, then enter the new combination — depress buttons care-fully (a slight click should be felt as

Take the remote back to the dealer and have the codes erased and re-set. You can do this yourself if you want to. You can find the sequencing instructions on youtube for your year and model of jeep. sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. The dealer has a machine that hooks to your wiring harness and fixes it in 5 minutes but they charge you $50.
Some fault codes like these can not just be erased n expected to stay erased. Once the car is driven again n the car system relearns itself. The ECU registers the fault again which brings up the code. Since its an existing problem it is only after the existing problem has been solved can the codes be erased. Check O2 sensors connectors to be sure they are connected, if so, check to be sure they are still functioning.
You will need the original factory programmed keyless entry
keypad code to program your own code. To locate the original keypad
code, open the right/rear door. Pull the on-body rubber weatherstrip
out, around the rear side of the door closure. Fold the right/rear
seat back down into the locked position to facilitate access to the
right/rear seat belt anchor. Carefully pry the upper plastic panel that
houses the height adjuster and seat belt anchor off the body taking care
not to damage the panel. Now pry the lower panel outward just far
enough to enable access to the Vehicle Security Module, where you'll see
three electrical connectors
plugged into it, colored green, gray, and blue. On the module will be a
series of digits on a label similar to 2L2T-15K602-EA. Beside those
digits are five numbers. Those five numbers are the key-less entry keypad
code. Once the original keypad code has been obtained, you will need to
enter it, press the 1/2 button within 5 seconds to activate the
programming mode. Holding the 1/2 button for more than 2 seconds after
activation will erase the the code you programmed. The existing code
will not need to be erased to program a new code. Within 5 seconds,
enter the new 5-digit keypad code. The door locks will lock and unlock to confirm the new code is programmed. Hope this helps Tim
