New office 2007..product key # not working

I received microsoft office 2007 for my B/D and am trying to download it on my current computer.. It is windows xp...when I insert disc, a window pops up asking for product key # which I type in, but the 0's don't show when I type them..and it won't let me continue. When I inserted disc..nothing else happened so it appears it will not download with this number problem. any ideas? I am good on word processing but not great at other computer areas...

Thank you so much for you're quick response. I tried this and it still won't type them in the product key box...I even tried cutting and pasting them in there but it starts shows all numbers but the 0"s, yet they work in other areas...so office 2007 will not continue to download...help!! I'm not sure what to do...I have to download this in order to do all my work on here as all the offices switched to office 2007 and I need it to open my files...

Thank you...this computer has Microsoft Money and spreadsheet but not office that I can find. I got this computer from a place that was selling their xp computers to put in vista's. I double checked the product key number and they are 0's but I tried both anyway...

Does your 0 key work in other applications? You could bring up the onscreen keyboard and click the numbers with your mouse (Located in Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Accessibility Folder) Good Luck!

That is very odd... Are you sure that they are 0's (zeros) and not O's (ohs)? I have never heard of that problem before...

If you currently have Office 2003 installed, you could just install the Office 2007 Compatibility Pack.
