Question about HP Photosmart 3310 Printer
Hello, I have an HP Photosmart C3183 bought with cartridges from Asia, As I am now in western Europe I can't use the cartridges I bought from the UK, I know that I need to reset my printer Region to recognize the new cartridges, could anyone help. Thanks
SOURCE: HP Photosmart all in one C3180
My suggestion: Don't buy HP. I have the same region coding problem. All I want to do is buy HP ink, put it in my HP printer and print stuff. Too hard. I've wasted 30 pounds on ink and another 30 pounds on "support" phone calls to HP. Hopeless. I will never buy HP again. Waste of time and money.

A RESET HAS TO BE DONE ON THE PRINTER. NO OTHER WAY POSSIBLE WITHOUT DOING A RESET. CALL UP CUSTOMER CARE. WAIT FOR A CALL FROM THE BACK END TEAM...THEY WOULD ASSIST YOU WITH IT WITHIN 24 HOURS. RESET WOULD BE DONE FOR REGIONALIZATION ISSUE. NOTE : ONLY 3 MAXIMUM RESETS POSSIBLE FOR THE UNIT.

Another solution is to take your old ink cartridge, open it up and fill it up with ink from the other countries cartridge. I moved to Europe from the US. I had to take the ink cartridge from Europe, open it up and put the sponge and ink into the cartridge from the US. This is obviously a temporary solution, but it works until my mom sends me some US ink.
The top of the ink cartridge pops off easy. There is hardly any ink in the new cartridge. You will need to go through the cleaning cycle of the printer several times, including priming the printer, to get the new ink in the old cartridge to work.

Tips for a great answer:
The printer will use same cartridges that it uses in Saudi Arabia, and those cartridges are available
even in Canada,
you can buy it from this link. I mean there is no need for region code etc. Hope
this helps...please post back for further assistance.

The language and
country/region setting determines which language the HP All-in-
One uses to display
messages on the color graphics display. Usually, you set the
country/region when you first set up the HP All-in-One. However, you
can change the setting at
any time by using the following procedure.
1. Press Setup.
2. Press 6, and then press 1.
This displays the Preferences menu, and then selects Set
Language & Country/
A list of languages
appears. Press or to scroll through the list of languages.
3. When your language is
highlighted, press OK.
4. When prompted, press 1 for Yes or 2 for No.
The countries/regions for
the selected language appear. Press or to scroll
through the list.
5. When the
country/region you want to select is highlighted, press OK.
6. When prompted, press 1 for Yes or 2 for No.
