How to Clean a Camcorder?

I have the same problem.

The only thing I can figure is I maybe salt water while taping on the beach. I thought I was being careful. Ten minutes later the camera told me to reinsert the tape which I have tried many times. What can I do?

Play and record images of the highest quality by keeping your camcorder clean.
1. Blow dust off the lens with compressed air.
2. Use a special lens cleaner and lens cloth to clean any remaining dirt and grease off the lens. Beginning at the center, swirl the cloth toward the outer edge of the lens.
3. Clean the inside of the camcorder with a special head-cleaning cassette. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for proper use.
4. If the cleaning cassette fails to adequately clean the camcorder heads, have them cleaned by a trained technician.
