Question about Cyberhome CH-DVD 300 DVD Player
When I insert a DVD into the player it starts reading the disc and after quite some time it displays a question mark (?) in the same area where it displays Reading. the LED indicator near the door starts changing colours from green to red and red to green. Can anyone please help me in this matter. Most disgusted with this player.
The power supply is probably bad and needs repair. Check the 5 volt output for the correct voltage and look for swollen leaky capacitors that need replaced. If the P/S is badly burned you'll have to replace it. Also, they don't last long so if you have used it a lot for a year or more the laser & motors are probably worn out and the ribbon cable connecting the laser carriage may be broken at the end. The ribbon cable can be replaced but there's nothing you can do for the motors or the laser.
