I have both a 1099 & 1042 General Humidifiers installed in the house. Went to replace the filters this year and noticed no water going through the solenoids and into the system. Tested the solenoids and even jumped around the Humidistat but solenoids still won't activate resulting in no water into the units.
Is there a trip switch or something that I'm missing in order to get these going? They are about 8 years old.
-   I have a General Hum 1099 also. There is usually a metal inline filter that may be clogged. I also have hard water in my area so even if the selnoid is receiving the signal, it may be calcified shut preventing the water to flow. Rudy

Carrier LFP Humidifier: Water is leaking from just inside where the unit attatches to the heater. It does not leak from the solenoid or where the water line attatches to it.
