Hi,

Apart from wearing headphones that cover your ears, there isn't much else available, because you work in a noisy environment, I would recommend these headphones as long as it's okay with your superiors.

Noise cancelling headphones are available, but if it's very noisy in your workplace, then they can only do so much, but you could give them a try.

I hope this helps you.

Cheers,
Peter

Need specialized hearing aids

sjsulliv,

Do you still have the paper work that came with your instruments? If so look to see who dispensed them. Your note stated the manufacture no longer mnakes these instruments

If you went to an office for a fitting return to this office. Determine whether they were insured or not. You may be able to replace them with little cost. Your company may be glad to share or pay cost.

Other Manufactures make these instruments or can custom make. Contact your dispensing office or anothere local Hearing Instrument Specialist or Audiologist to determine a custom order to fit you.

Probably a new Hearing Eval, and a new Iimpressions will have to be made. Please advise me if this is helpful. Thanks for accessing FixYa.com.

For people who need help placing the hearing aid in the ear- is there anything to help with that?

tinabeal,

If the user is having difficulty inserting instrument earpeice into the ear canal, and there is also difficulty communicating to instruct, then the instrument dispenser should be allowed to instruct a caregiver in the proceedure of safe insertion and removal.

If the user is capable of grasping the proceedure after proper practice, the dispenser may work with that person, however some individuals must have a third party to help. We hope this suggestion will be helpful. Thanks for contacting FixYa.com.

Hearing Aid Support

Because every person has a different extent of hearing loss with a different type, this is difficult to answer. Some believe that there are benefits to wearing two aids. Obviously they provide for a more balanced hearing by better directing sound from different areas. Some believe that two aids provide more clarity and allow the user to hear better in noisy locations. A licensed professional or audiologist will best be able to recommend whether one or two aids will work best for you.

Callers not able to hear my voice.

Most of the times its the microphone problem. But first, go to settings and then Sound, check the equalizer, play with it a little bit. If that doesnt work, take it to where you bought it from, they will install a new microphone for you.
