I replaced both belts on rollers after the drive belt broke and now the rollers do not spin when I try to operate it. Is there a reset button I am not seeing?

It sounds like the belts need adjusting. The instructions that came with the belts should explain how to adjust the belt tension. Additionally check for debris around the brushes. This may be the reason for the belts breaking to begin with. Without the belts on the brushes should turn freely by hand. If that doesn't do you can call Consumer Care 1-800-237-7691. Hope that helps.

My vacuum seems to be overheating rather quickly. How might I fix this issue?

HI, it's Jim from Crucial Vacuum!

Your vacuums motor may be running hot for a number of reasons. Your vacuums filters may be blocked, or your vacuums bag/dust bin may be full. Be sure to empty the bag and clean/replace your filters.

Be sure to check your vacuums belt. On the other side of the belt is usually the drive shaft or motor pulley. If the belt isn't on properly it could be straining and overworking your vacuums motor, which in turn would overheat the motor. For optimal performance, the belt should be changed out every 3 months.

To find the belt part number compatible with your vacuum, please refer to your manufacturer manual.

The beater bar in my vacuum does not go around and there is no suction in the power head?

Turn up side down- check if belt is intact- I would remove belt ant look for an obstruction. Not familiar with this vac but some motors have replaceable bruches on the motor. Try running and feeling for suction. The motor should sound strong when running. Remove beater brush and check for freedom of movement.

The brushes are not rotating

Well, there are a couple of things to look at.
1. With the cleaner running, and the hose switch turned to carpets (2nd position) press in the reset button and see if that re-engages the belt. No?
2. You might have a broken belt. When you tried #1, did the motor on the power nozzle run, was the light on? If your answer is yes, and your roller is not turning, then your belt is broken.
3. If these are not the problem, then you could have either a bad motor in the power nozzle, or a hose switch problem. Well, I hope that this helped any. If so, please let me know. Thanks.. Rene (the Vacuum Doctor)

Beater Bar Belt loose and bar won't turn

Provided that the motor isn't loose, the belt should fit tightly. If you had reassembled the beater bar back in the vacuum improperly, the belt would be tighter, rather than looser. If you are sure that the motor isn't loose and the beater bar was reinstalled correctly, then either tha belt slipped back off the motor shaft, or they sold you the wrong replacement belt.

My Eureka Boss vacuum belt keeps breaking

I have been searching the machine for something which could be rubbing against the belt to cause it to fray and break as often as it does. So far, I haven't found anything. I have heard that the belts, called ribbon belts, are terrible! I find that the belts break faster when I use the hose. I haven't found a way to make a belt last longer.

most vacuums use a belt that runs from the motor to the front brush. and when the brush gets jammed the motor continues to run and burns the belt (probably what you smelled).
you'll have to turn it over and remove the base plate and replace the belt.
use the old belt to find a match
hope this helps.....jay
