Belling 592SS self clean panels need replacing

I have a belling oven which is only a few years old. It works perfectly well however, someone cleaned the self clean panels with the result that they are greasy and impossible to clean now. I would just like to get some replacment panels but it would seem to be impossible to find these! please can anyone help? Thank you.

I tried the Belling site, and also tried phoning them, and although they list this model in the parrts sections, there is a very limited list of spares available, which unfortunately does not include self clean panels.

What I wonder, is whether this model was built by another company, say hotpoint, and then sold to other companies, such as Belling. I seem to remember somone telling me that these companies did this with some models, and so you'd find the same cooker, being sold under different names by different companies. If I could find this out then I might have some success. E spares carry self clean sides for hoover cookers, but they don't look as though they'd be suitable for my belling, looking at the model numbers/codes given.

    Thanks anyway.

Hi, I have a Belling BEL GJS20 microwave for the past three years. It was working so perfectly for all these days. In fact I would say it was the best one I ever had. But yesterday, it broke down....

What a coincidence! I have had my Belling GJS20 for 4 years and yesterday the exact same thing has happened to mine, hence me being on the net and finding your question. Hope someone is able to help us.

1, If the Belling fan motor in the back of the oven is going round and the temperature light is on (normally little red light), but there is no heat then you will probably need a new oven element, these are generally very easy to fit and readily available from our website these can be tested with a electric meter.
To gain access to the BELLING element you will have to remove the back plate from inside the oven. Once removed you will see the fan and element, if you look closely at the element you will probably see a small hole burnt in it where it has blown. Sometimes however there is no evidence of a fault but the element is open circuit ie: broken inside the element casing, either way it will need replacing. Some elements will are fixed from inside the oven and some are held in place by nuts from the rear of the machine.
2, If your BELLING fan oven is getting warm but takes a very long time to cook or is burning the food more on one side than the other, then you need to check if your oven fan motor is working you will see the blade turning fast if it is ok. if the element is heating but the fan motor is not blowing the heat into the oven then you need To replace the oven fan motor is a little more expensive and a bit more involved.
3. If you have the opposite problem ie: your oven is over heating and burning everything then you will need to replace your BELLING oven thermostat
4, A quite common and easily overlooked answer is if your BELLING oven is not working at all ie: no heat and no fan then the chances are that someone has put the oven timer into AUTO mode, simply put oven back to MANUAL mode and all should be working again.

My Belling oven has no heat, but the fan &

If the fan is working o/k, then there is little doubt that the oven element has failed.
This is quite common with fan assisted ovens.
The element is usually located at the rear of the oven compartment behind a removeable cover.

Dead oven despite element replacement?

If it has a timer, then make sure it is set to manual, and not auto, otherwise the oven will not come on.
What usually happens is, if you have a power cut, or switch the oven off, then the timer automatially goes to auto when the power is on again.

Please rate my solution.
Thankyou.

Fan oven option not functioning on main oven, its a Belling synergie multifunction oven, about 5 years old

On my Belling it was the oven multi function switch that was faulty. I replaced it - carefully (lots of coloured wires) and it works fine now. Hope this helps
