Hi there,

Turn you laptop upside down, you’ll find a few screws with a symbol that looks like a keyboard.
Unscrew these screws(and ONLY these).
Turn it again, open, and find about 4 "slides" in between the F-buttons. Slide them toward the front and lift the keyboard up from the F- buttons. Be careful not to break the thin film. The film can be lifted from the seal, again with care.
Unscrew all the screws keeping the keyboard together.
Then clean, and know why you shouldn’t drink and drive at the same time - sorry that’s in a all together different area :-)

How do I strip key board on my laptop to clean spilt coffee

http://www.laptop-repair.info/laptop_keyboard_repair.html
the steps to remove the keyboard is to remove the hinges cover first ..than the screws holding the keyboard in place (under the hinges cover) ..than slide it an inch forward (toward the screen ) ..and after that lift it up ...remove the ribbon from the plug ...and this is all ..replace it if you have the possibility ..or ..remove all buttons ...and clean it up ...and dry it well before replace it and see if it work s..If the damage is permanent you need a new one and the procedure is just the reverse..

Spilled coffee on D600 notebook, power supply turns off when plugged in after had the notebook cleaned. is my notebook not fixable?

When the power supply turns off when plugged into the laptop it is indicating that there is a short. Remove your battery and try connecting the power adapter again. If the problem persists your motherboard will most likely need to be replaced.
There are companies out there that will repair motherboards however if the laptop was on when the spill occurred there is little to know chance that the motherboard is repairable.

How do I remove keyboard?

Most dell keyboard are "released" from underneath, turn your laptop over and look for the screws with a K next to them. Sometimes there is also a samll removable panel at the top of the keyboard hiding 2 screws.

Cursor bounces around, doesn't release when highlighting

Does your laptop have a touch pointer within the keypad? This can cause the problem you're experiencing. Did you try turning the track stick off in the touchpad settings?

Spilled Grape Juice

To give it a good cleaning, you will need to remove the keyboard and clean anywhere you can see juice or feel stickiness. You can buy the expensive computer cleaners, but I suggest 50/50 rubbing alcohol and Q-tips. Remove the battery and C-mos battery to make sure there is absolutely no power to the machine what so ever. After cleaning inside, you will want to give it a good 24 hours to dry, ensure that there is no moisture before applying power. If the juice reached the bottom of the machine, you may need to remove the screen, split the cases, and take the motherboard out, in order to clean the bottom side of the board. If you leave juice anywhere on the board it will gum up, and the acids in the juice will corrode and detierate the circuitry on the board causing a motherboard failure. Now the keyboard, in order to thoroughly clean the keyboard, I suggest that you spray a good amount of the rubbing alcohol in the keyboard, shake it or blow it out with air, then take paper towels and daub up the rest. Repeat this two or three times, then let it dry approx 24 hours. Sometimes the keyboard won't recover after a spill and will need replaced. If it works properly, then, after using the keyboard for a while, you will notice if any of the keys are sticking. Take the sticky key or keys off and clean them individually. I know it's alot of work, but it'll teach you not to keep open drinks around your laptop. It did me, I've ruined one machine, two keyboards, and thoroughly cleaned a third very expensive machine of mine to keep it working, but I finally learned to drink from a sippy around my laptops.

Laptop Cleaning/Repair

That is something that you should not attempt .. Because most likely you will need to replace the keyboard...
If they are just not working because they are Sticking or Stuck, you can repair this by yourself....you can remove the keyboard and clean it, also checking the ribbon cable that goes from the keyboard to the motherboard... look for any burn spots near the keyboard plug connection, chances are that just simply replacing the keyboard would fix it ..
You also will need the entire laptop taken apart to see if the "drink" spilled onto other parts, or worse... the motherboard...
