Question about Washing Machines

2 Answers

I have a whirlpool 1200 AA1200 washing machine and it is barely filling up with water. It takes about 3 hours for quick wash and we have to move the dial round to keep it going. The water pressue in the flat was checked, so thats not the problem. Any ideas?

Does it matter if your using Hot or Cold water or Both.

There are inline screen installed by manufactur at the machine end of the hose check they could be clogged with debri probally also good idea to check othe rend of hoses for screens

also to determine for sure it is the washer issue when you remove these for inspection turn the water on in a bucket make sure the pressure is available out of the hose.

AWM 5130 AA1200 None of the programs complete their cycle. The machine will spin and drain out properly. However, when selecting any wash cycle, it briefly fills with water and then goes into a halt.

This may be down to a fill valve issue. if your machine has a GANGED valve on it, (more than one coil on the valve) it could be that one of the coils is open circuit. If you are able to remove the valve take it to an Electrician or your local repair shop and ask them to check the coils. if that is not the problem you may need to get the manufacturers repair engineer to diagnose the fault.

Lg tromm manual

Problem is too much soap. Wrong soap. Press and hold: SPIN SPEED & SOIL LEVEL buttons--then press POWER button.
Wait for door to lock.

Press the START button (6) times--this will fill the tub with hot water to the maximum setting when it stops filling.

Press the START button two more times--this will enable the tub to tumble.
After 3 hours--turn "off" the washer.
Turn the washer back "on".
Select the shortest wash cycle (usually "quick wash") and press "START". This will rinse out the tub.

Our whirlpool washer is taking like 3 hours per load. On the rinse cycle it is not pouring the water in to fill it up, instead it is dripping and then that is taking hours to fill up at that rate. What can...

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

This is symptomatic of an intermittent (cold) water control valve- sometimes only partially opens.
It needs replacing! Service call ;-0(
Good luck,

Cold water rinse takes hours to fill

Check to see if there's good water volume coming through the hoses attached to the washing machine. If there is, check to see if the screens inside the water-inlet valve are clean. (The water-inlet valve is the device on the washing machine that the fill hoses are attached to.) If they're clean, you probably have a defective water-inlet valve. If so, you should completely replace the valve.Replace the water inlet valve with this part.

Lsn2000jq agitator barely moves (fills and drains OK) but wont spin? ....gearcase or clutch???

That model should be a direct drive. They seldome have trans problems. It sounds like the drive coupler is bad. To replace the coupler. From the bottom of the machine you should be able to access the motor. You will need to remove the water pump (plastic). It is retained by 2 strapps. They sometimes have safety screws.to hold the ********. if so remove them. remove the hoses from the pump. Pry the strapps off sideways, they pop off. remove the pump and the motor can be removed the same as the pump (2 strapps). pull the motor off and the coupler is there (3 parts to replace). The coupler kit costs about $14.00 online. It takes about an hour to fix.

Long cycles on my whirlpool duet washer

it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem:

  • It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer.

  • It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. See There's no cold water.
