Product : imageRUNNER 5070 / 5570 / 6570 Title : Fuser noise and intermittent E001 code Error
The upper fuser roller section makes a noise and intermittently error code E001 occurs Workaround : In this case, the UFR Shutter inside the upper fuser roller was
installed reversed (180 degrees out of postion). Installing the UFR
Shutter in the proper orientation corrected the problem. Note: the UFR shutter installed in the reversed position will cause a
noise and block the Main Thermistor when the shutter should block the
Sub Thermistor. In turn, the shutter will block the Sub Thermistor when
the shutter should block the Main thermistor. This will cause improper
temperature for the Upper Fuser roller and cause the error code.
suggested to go in service mode and reset the error, and see if it will
solve the problem. If the problem presist, a code will appear and that
will be the one we should work on. So we did clear the error, and the
machine is functioning.
Entering service mode: press Additional Function > press 2 & 8 at the same time > press Additional Function again Clearing the Error: press Copier > press Functions > press clear > press Err > press Ok. Restarting the Machine:Power off then On.
it is related to fing unit. you can go in service mode by pressing (additional function +2 +8 + additional finction) touch on copier then go in function after that touch on clear Err -then press ok dcon then press ok rcon then press ok if then after problem not solved you have to replace fixing unit thermistar because it is related to fixing temperature.
E001 is a fixing assy fault you have to clear the error in service mode after correcting the fault of course.
I would try clearing the error code in service mode 1st.
then restart copier
most times eoo1 can be reset in service mode if there is no damage to fixing unit.
1) Enter service mode.
Press the operation panel user mode key, 2 key, 8 key and user mode key in this order.
2) scroll to "clear" and press ok then scroll to "err" and press ok.
if that does not work you can go back into service mode as above and instead of scrolling to "err" scroll to "all" and press ok. power off then on. doing this will clear settings service techs might have made but i've done quite a few and had no probs
