I have motherboard Mercury PVM7P, i installed 2 GB DDR2 RAM 800 MHS but its showing only 448 MB what is the solution for that anybody can solve it, how much maximum RAM can support this motherboard

Hello you can find info here:

http://www.mercury-pc.com/product-detail.php?link=p-mainboards&subtitle=Mainboard&productid=677

The mainboard supports:

2 x 240-pin DDR2 DIMM socket support up to 2 GB DDR2 533
Maximum: 2GB

533 mhz is probably limited speed by the CPU and the FSB settings.
So you have to try with another type of ram module, the 533 module, because 800 mhz is probably to fast for this mainboard.

Good luck

I need a mother board drivers cd for mercury PI845GVM-AGP, V:5.0A

There are a lot of equivalent model available on other manufacturer websites. but the best way is to run belarc advisor and check the drivers needed. From there you can then download drivers and burn it in a cd.

Hope this helps.

Problem with Mercury PI845GVM motherboard

fine ur problem if very simple as u installed 512 mb RAM on ur pc if at possible try to connect on to the other slot and restart the computer and check ur RAM capacity in ur os if it shows as same 256mb then ur have to change ur virtual memory settings i.e memory allocated to the video so configure ur virtual memory as per requirement then free up RAM memory ..

Steps for virtual memory configuration.

  1. Open System in Control Panel.
  2. On the Advanced tab, under Performance, click Settings.
  3. On the Advanced tab, under Virtual memory, click Change.
  4. Under Drive [Volume Label], click the drive that contains the paging file you want to change.
  5. Under Paging file size for selected drive, click Custom size, and type a new paging file size in megabytes in the Initial size (MB) or Maximum size (MB) box, and then click Set. If you decrease the size of either the initial or maximum page file settings, you must restart your computer to see the effects of those changes. Increases typically do not require a restart.
