Question about Acer Extensa 4620 Notebook
I was replacing my monitor when I saw a blue power on for a second because I forgot to remove the battery. I think the wxga connector made contact with the screen connector. Now I don't get power on light or anything. What do you think is the likely cause and can I repair it? If it is a board fuse where is it located so I can replace that in the power circuit or did I fry the video and power section on the board. I can't believe I made such a stupid error.
You more then likely fried the motherboard with that move. There is no internal fuse that you are able to replace or reset. Replace the motherboard, nothing else that can really be said but that.
