Question about Vivitar ViviCam 3330 Digital Camera

Problem connecting to PC

Connected the USB cable before downloading the cd and now I get my PC to display that the camera is connected to the PC. Any advice...Thanks

    yeah I can't get my pc either to show that camera is connected.It says that i should add my camera to scanners and cameras.I click on that and it says that I should click on "have disk" if i have the installation disk because vivitar isn't listed.I don't know where to find the manufacturer.I even self typed in D:\ into the drive list and it says it's not listed there either.How do I solve this problem?Also I have Windows Me,if that helps.

Delete the program. Go to Program files and delete any remaining trace files. Empty recycle bin. Reboot PC. Re-install CD program. If this fails to rectify problem then check on their website for any updates to help the program and download them. Reboot. If this fails then check if you have any other editing suite programs that could interfere or supercede the program you're using when connecting your camera. If this fails, don't bother using the software on the CD at all as your PC should pick up your camera files via the USB as long as it has been properly updated. Then use Photoshop/or another program to edit your pics.

W30 -USB connection


Load the drivers/software from the Sony CD that accompanied the camera and try again. You might also consider a USB connected flash drive "dock" for downloading rather than using the camera. They are not very expensive.

If the camera is still not recognized after the USB driver has been re-installed, one of the following situations may apply. "PC Camera" may be selected as the USB setting on the digital camera. Does the LCD monitor on the digital camera show that the USB connection is active (USB, DSC or a USB symbol with an arrow, etc.)? If not, the digital camera and PC may not be connected correctly.
