On My Dv5-1125nr both the caps lock and num lock keeps blinking when i turn it on. It's wont boot at all. What kind of hardware problem is this?

First remove the battery and power cord for about a minute. Then plug back in and see if that helps. Otherwise please read the following:

LEDs near Caps Lock and Number Lock keys blink when starting notebook The LED lights near the Caps Lock and Num Lock keys will blink if an error is detected during the start up process. The LEDs will blink a number of times in a sequence and then stop. The number of blinks in the sequence indicates what component caused an error when it was being tested during start up. If the LEDs stop blinking and the computer does not start, you can press the power button again to repeat the tests. Count the number of blinks, and use the chart to identify the error condition. Knowing the number of blinks is helpful when you contact an HP support agent for technical help. My fujitsu siemens amilo notebook screen black.

Check num lock key of laptop press num lock if numlock key is on and off when you press it then dispaly working fine only issue with screen resolution .
For that when you power up the computer press F8 key then enter in enable vga mode.
Then go to start menu ->control panel->display->settings.
Change screen resolution to 1024*768 then apply and ok.
But if num lock is constant when you press numlock key then you need to refix RAM memory.Open back cover of laptop then refix RAM memory.
Then check if still same issue then pull cmos cell from motherboard then check again if still same then try with another RAM .
When you power up the computer press F1 or F2 or "del" key if you are able to see bios screen then you not need to open back cover of laptop only make sure SATA is disabled and your harddrive is detected in bios.
Let me know if you need further assistance.
Thanks for using FixYa.

No external wireless switch - how do I turn on wireless function on a fujitsu siemens laptop ?

I don't know that particular model, but in most laptops without a switch, there is a key on the keyboard that has a wireless little logo. The key usually works by pressing it simultaneously with the "f'n' (function) key. The wireless key is usually located at the first row of keys (the function keys, F1, F2 and so on). Hope that helps

Keys on keyboard have locked

Try one of three keys, the num lock, the pause (break) key, and the Caps lock key.

SHIFT LOCKED ON

There should be a function key that is a light blue on the lower left. Hold that down and hit the NUM lock key at the upper right.

What happened is that you turned the numlock on just like on a regular keyboard but on a laptop, its a secondary function key where the letters double as numbers when the function numlock is turned on.

give it a try and let me know.
Good luck

Disable locks

There should be a function key to toggle the number lock off.

Some laptops it is the <SHIFT><NUMLCK> and some <FN><F1>

see if you have a numlck key or if a F (Function) key has a picture of a Lock, also make sure in the BIOS setup utility Numbers Lock on boot is not selected.
