You either most likely have a bad thermal fuse or broken ignitor. When you turn the dryer on, do you hear a click after a few seconds. Thats the sound of the burner powering up. If you dont, you most likely need a new therma fuse. thanks Dave www.washermd.com

Whirlpool Clothes Dryer AWZ 121

It sounds like it is the belt. When the dryer heats up the belt expands a little and when it gets wore out, the tensioner doesn't have enough spring to keep it tight. It might work a little when it's cold before the belt expands.
This belt should work for your dryer but verify the length.

The bottom of this link shows some typical ways a belt runs past a tension wheel and links for your dryer. If you replace yours I would recommend taking a couple pictures before removing the old one so you can refer to them when installing the new one.

My dryer does not get hot anymore

The thermal cut-off located on the heater housing is likely blown. It blows if there's an issue with clogged ducts and/or faulty high-limit thermostat. These components including the cycling thermostat on the blower housing are wired in series with the heating element and power to the heating element is terminated if one of them, usually the thermal cut-off, cuts or blows open. Whirlpool LER3624JQ will not heat

remove the back panel, you will see the heater box,the fuse which turns the heater box on is at the top of the heater box, replace that and it should work, most of the time what blows the fuse is cloogged wall or dryer vent holes-mike
