Hi!

Welcome to Fixya, bro

the long beep and 2 short beep, it means that your not pin properly your ram.

please press it firmly in both sides of the ram. by not touching the chip or IC.

by doing this, your should unplug your PC. or no power at all.

If you need further assistance let me know. Please take a moment to accept and rate my solution accordingly.

Thanks,
aclamonte

    • ok you remove ram, and re install it,

    • the side lock should be opened wide,

    • push both side of the ram by not touching the IC or chips.

    • make sure it is inside the slot DIMM #1 probably

    • and the side lock should be fix. that's the indication that the ram is lock and fix.

    • the beep you heard is the indication that your PC system cannot detect the ram you installed. and your pc cannot process the OS program to run your PC.

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect your hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty

Ram beep but no display bios jumper is clear stat bios jumper is normal then no start machine

Hello,
Please see this as reference

Continuous long beeps-RAM error
2 short beeps- BIOS error
1 long and 8 short beeps- Display Card error
1 long beep after few seconds 2 short beeps-FDC error
1 long beep after few seconds 1 short beeps-FDC is Ok
1 long beep and 2 short beeps-Display Card Error

Most probable cause is Ram memory, please try removing modules and reinserting, also try using alternately just one of them to determine which one is defective.

Gigabyte GA-945P-S3 short beep codes on cold boot. Tried reseating RAM, didn't help. system runs fine after beeping stops

Using the manual for the Gigabyte GA-945P-S3 MB. Go to page 71 & you'll see bios beep codes for your board: AWARD BIOS Beep Codes 1 short: System boots successfully 2 short: CMOS setting error 1 long 1 short: DRAM or M/B error 1 long 2 short: Monitor or display card error 1 long 3 short: Keyboard error 1 long 9 short: BIOS ROM error Continuous long beeps: DRAM error Continuous short beeps: Power error As you can see there isn't a code for three short beeps. When you boot your system try to pause your boot up screen. See if the bios is reporting the correct total of memory in your system. Bios codes from the link below. http://www.computerhope.com/beep.htm#05 3 beeps for the AMI bios code reports Base 64K RAM failure. You can test your memory. Go to memtest.org Scroll down the site to just under the three screen shots. Download Memtest86+ V2.11 You have a choice in making a bootable floppy disk or a bootable CD-ROM disk. Once completed you boot your system to the testing program. Memtest will check your system memory. This should help. Thanks for using FixYa! Mike

I got beeps on my pc

1 Long beep and 2 Short is Graphics related.

Change GFX card if PCI/AGP
or if onboard install a GFX card and see what happens (with RAM and CPU reinstalled)

if it still bleeps with new card then remove power from PSU, remove BIOS batt and wait 10 mins (or do the bios jumper trick)
(still with new card installed)

just a thought... its always best to remove Data cables from board aswell as power from the devices (hdd, odd etc)

let me know how you get on...
