Question about SanDisk Sansa Clip MP3 Player

1 Answer

My name is Joseph, and I own a red 2GB sansa clip player. I was using it when exercising when it froze. I turned it off, waited a few seconds, and then tried to turn it back on. But it would not turn on. Another problem is the computer will recognize the player and its content, but when I remove the player, it goes off and will not turn back on. I would greatly appreciate your support.

Have you tried resetting the player, slide the power switch up and hold it for 15 seconds, see if this helps. If not click on the link above for technical support from sandisk.

My sansa mp3 has frozen nothing moves,it is on , how can i dislock it

Hi,the Sansa is a portable media player made by SanDisk. As with all portable media players, there may come a time when your Sansa freezes up for one reason or another. This can be incredibly frustrating. Fortunately, there are a handful of different methods you can use to unfreeze the player.

Instructions

Wait for the battery in the Sansa to die completely. Once the battery is dead, you can plug the Sansa into your computer and download a firmware update for your particular model (see Resources below). You can also remove the battery from the Sansa if you want to speed up the process.

Plug the Sansa back into your computer. If the computer recognizes the device, the player should begin charging right away. This will unfreeze your Sansa.

Hold the power button down for roughly 10-20 seconds. The Sansa should turn off. Wait a few seconds and then turn the player back on.

Hold down the center button and the menu button at the same time. Do this for up to 30 seconds while watching the display screen.

Hope it helped.

Thanks for using fixya.

Player is froze

Push the power button up and hold it for 20 seconds.
Release it, then turn it on again. Go to the Sansa website (http://www.sansa.com) and download the "SansaFirmware Updater." Select "Run" when the updater installs.(Installation will take less than two minutes.) Wait for the Sansa Firmware Updater to run through its system test. It willask you to connect the Sansa Clip to the computer to update your Sansa'ssoftware. Connect the Sansa Clip. Remove it from the computer when instructed. If thisprocess does not unfreeze your Sansa Clip, contact Sansa support at the SansaFirmware Updater website.
Complete Reset

Turn player on. Press the "Menu" (home) button.
Pressthe bottom of the scroll wheel until you reach the "Settings" screen.Push the center button to choose "Settings." Scrolldown to "Reset All" and select. You'll be asked to confirm the reset.Select "Yes." This option will simply allow you to reset the languageand location settings on your Sansa Clip. Thiswill not erase data from the clip.

To doa complete factory restore, whichwill erase all files from the clip, follow these steps: Inthe "Settings" menu, scroll down until you reach "Format"and then select. You will be asked to confirm that you wish to format. Select"Yes." Wait for the screen to say "Formatting Complete."You have now cleared all the files from your Sansa Clip and reset it to factorysettings.

I was playing a video on my sandisk and it frozeI'm not able to turn off the devise or choose another program

You can't play a video on your Sansa Clip/sansa clip plus (based on pic you showed).
If your device is froze, press and hold power button untile device turn off (about at least 10 seconds); then turn it on and check it. If it's still frozen, turn it off again, plug it into computer and delete the video which makes it froze

Sansa clip 2gb

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

Sansa Clip Player has some problem. I tried 4 sansa clip players (I purchased at Best Buy for Thanksgiving), and none of them work. Dont even try to exchange them, just return them back.
