I an trying to make a call via skype i have made a test call I can hear them but they cannot hear methe message is microphone must be muted

Make sure the "pink" plug goes to the pink socket in your computer

open skype Options -> Audio Settings and adjust

The microphone keeps fading in and out so I can`t hear it on skype, do i have to change any settings or is it a hardware issue?


click start control panel administrive tools ,computer management ,device manager scroll down image devices you could see a yellow question mark?
right click to reinstall drivers or
update driver
open skype go to tools from the drop down list select options scroll to audio settings
you can make a free test call before you try to make a call
make sure the microphone is using the same as your computers audio
you can make a free test call if you cant get the microphone to work you can select learn about setting up your audio equipment also
click start control panel sounds and audio devices audio and also voice it's the same make sure that you have the right default microphone selected you should be able scroll to video settings to make sure you have the right settings

Lately people cannot hear me when Im skyping or calling online. They said it sounds like Im using a scuba mask and or breaking up very badly. I have a Toshiba w built in mic

Hi, Apoloies for bothering you...I recently bought a LifeCam VX-800 and it does not work on gmail. The visual is fine and I can hear the other person but they cannot hear me. Do you have any sugestions?


what sort of meessenger are you using skype ,yahoo or another this could be your sound is not set up to work with your messenger program also

My webcam does not turn on anymore. Whenever I try to use it on Skype it says there is no webcam detected. It is integrated and has no software on the laptop itself.

My skype phone is not working properly since i installed the windows 7 and i want to solve that issue, i don't know if i have this problem beacause i need a drive to install or something else!!!

Since I had to have windows XP home version re-installed to fix a problem, I have been unable to use my headset and microphone to use Skype. My settings all confirm I am supposed to be using my Realtek HD...

No microfon output


Double-click the "volume" control (it's beside the date/time clock on the system-tray -- the Windows "start" button is at the other end of the system-tray) to open the "sound-mixer" application.

Be sure that you have not completely "muted" the "microphone-input" slider.

Also, push the microphone's slider to a higher setting, and test it.
