The screen is 2/3 black and only the right 1/3 of the screen works.

Sounds as if this is a repair issue with the image processing inside the camera on the main circuit board. You may want to call Olympus Customer Service to discuss repair process. Their telephone number is 800-622-6372 option 2 and then option 3
