Question about Akai LCT2715 27 in. LCD Television

Stand Previous owner of home left the 27" akai t.v. as part of the sale. It was mounted on the wall. We would like to have it on a stand. Where, in Nanaimo, B.C., would we be likely to be able to buy a stand for the t.v.?

How do i attach a Wall Mount to the TV?

I have the same TV, and I bought a mount with 4 connector holes. I was able to connect 3 of the 4 and it has been fine as the TV does not weigh too much. The TV was not designed with the current mode of either wall or stand mount. It was just intended for stand. I have had it on the wall for over 2 years.

Hello,

According to Akai, the base stand for this unit is not available as a replacement part. You may want to try ebay for a replacment stand.

I just purchased this unit and briefly looked at removing the stand though I haven't taken it off yet. Anyways, I think you need to remove the black metal mounting frame from the TV before trying to unscrew the stand (4 screws) from the metal frame. After the frame is off the TV, I think you can then get at a couple of hidden screws to remove the stand from frame. I don't know if the frame goes back on the TV or not.
