Question about HP Compaq Presario V2000 Notebook
My Compaq Presario V2000 has not had any problems in the past. The other day, I was at a friends house using it, with no problems. I set the laptop to the side and it shut off on its own at some point, within a half an hour. It was plugged in at the time I was using it. I went to get back on it and I can't get it to turn on. The lights don't turn on or anything, like it isn't getting any power. Can you give me any advice on what may be wrong with it?
You may, and i say MAY have accidentally dislodged the battery, remove it competely and reseat it.
unplug the power unet and reinsert all its cables to make sure nothing it loose.
try starting the laptop with battery removed but mains power plugged in.. (if this works : you got a faulty battery...aftermarket HP part suppliers or HP on the net..
anything else is serious and then i pray you got a warranty or insurance....
