Question about Jenn-Air Kitchen Ranges

1 Answer

I have a Jenn-Air JGS885SOADS Stove/Range When I set the temperature on the convect bake or bake it struggles to achieve its temperature and there is a little smell of gas. Any thoughts? Some other times there seems to be no problem and temperature is achieved quite quickly with no smell of gas at all.

Oven burner may have to much oxygen and the burner does not lite all the way around, there is a cap or a vent as the burner connects to the safety valve, close about quarter of an inch. or one of the holes on that burner is dirty and the gas does not past the gas all around the burner. you have to see whats happening by turning the oven on, but stay at a distance. and look at the burner when it first comes on. that will tell you the problem.

After baking and trying to set time bake a week ago, the range won't turn on at all. Nothing happens when we press bake, broil, convect bake, etc. The clock, lights, fan, timer and cook top still work.

the oven controller in the main service/selection panel has either a bad solder joint on the circuits or the start realy for the oven on the same circuit board is bad and you have to replace the whole panel you cannot just buy the relay
