Re: How can I clear the recipients in lookup in...
Get a shareware program called Filez for the Palm platform. Install it onto your Treo.
Go into the program and click on "View and Edit Files". Click on the "Internal" arrow to open the listing on your Treo.
Scroll down to the "S's" by hitting the "S" button on your keyboard. Scroll manually until you get to"SMS Msg Databa..." Click on it and then click the button that says "Details".
In the window that comes up, hit the "Delete" button. It will ask you if you are sure, which you are.
But you are not done yet!
You will now have to delete the old (full) record from your desktop backup database or you will get every one of those contacts back when you hotsync again.
Here's what to do about that:
Do a search for SMS Msg Database.pdb or SmsDB.pdb - or similar, these are the names they are called on my Mac.
Delete those files - and you should have a nice empty database to fill up with your own friends and contacts.
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

You can't. To send pictures or other media, you must use the MMS (Multimedia Message Service) option. Just use the option menu button in the messaging application and choose Compose MMS. After selecting the recipient, click the menu button again to add things like pictures, videos, etc. to the message. Note that sprint includes the ability to send media in your data plan, but your recipient may get charged for the message. Some carriers, even Sprint, don't include MMS in there unlimited messaging plans but rather expect you to send the picture as SMS which the Blackberry Curve can't do.
Go to the Test Messages screen (touch the SMS button) and then touch the Compose Message button at the top right hand side of the screen (Do not start by using contacts or favorites or another way).

Start to type the name of the contact (below you will see the contacts that match. At any time you can select any of those by touching them).
To add the next contact touch the "+" to the right of the first contact. It will open your contacts and you can select another or you can just type in the number of the person you want to add to the text message.
You can keep repeating this until you have them all in there.
