Re: Cartridge is not compatible
HP has some of their printers stop working if you do not use an "Authentic HP Catridge". This is not necessary and it is an option that can be disabled in the printer config menu. Then you can use refurbished and 3rd party toner as well.
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US. click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. Goodluck!

I have the same problem. Everything on the printer is working just fine. It'll do a test page just fine, so everything's working right. The %$^ thing just won't print. It makes noise like it's printing when you give it a print job, but it spits out blank pages.
HP 21 black and HP 22 tricolor cartridges are the cartridges compatible with HP DESKJET D1560.HP 27 and 28 won't work with your printer because they won't get recognized by the machine. It will only give you an error message like incompatible cartridges.
When you moved the original chip to the new cartridge, the chip is saying the cartridge is empty. Try removing the chip and the printer should know the cartridge is not empty, but might give you a message that it is not a genuine Canon cartridge.
The message that persists in saying to "replace black cartridge" could be due to a defective cartridge chip. The chip maintains counts and tells the printer when a new cartridge is installed. If you cartridge is remanufactured, they may have neglected to install a new chip.
Regarding the new fuser not working, I'll have to get back to you on that.
I had a similar problem when I tried to install a refilled HP cartridge. I took the cartridge out, unplugged the printer (hard boot), plugged it back in and reinstalled the cartridge. That got it to work.
If that doesn't work, try taking a cotton swab (q-tip, cotton bud) and clean the contacts on the ink cartridge. Even though they are gold plated, sometimes contamination will cover one or two contacts so the printer will not properly read the cartridge.
Ok the main mistake is cleaning the cartridge with alcohol because then the cartridge picks up dust and the dust sticks to it and then the printer will not work. Now you can try cleaning the cartridges with a cotton swab dipped in water and see if that helps with anything you also gotta clean the contacts inside the printer where the cartridges are seated. Make sure the printer is connected directly to the walljack without the surge protector and remove the cartridges, then power on the printer if you still face the issue, while the printer is on pull out the power cable from the back of the printer and the walljack wait for 30 seconds and then plug the cable to the wall and then to the printer and see if this resolves the issue,if you still get the error its a printer hardware problem. In that case also check the cartridge expiration date at the bottom of the cartridge if it shows out of warranty that could be another reason why you get this error message
I just solved my own problem. Try it for yours. I had been using several compatible toners for the MFC-8460N with no problems until today, as I posted earlier. On a hunch, I went to the local office supply store and purchased one original Brothers TN550 toner and put it into the printer and closed the cover. Everything clicked. Toner End Life message gone. I then took that Brother toner out and put the compatible one back in and still everything was fine. Am keeping the original Brother toner as a "kickstarter" if it happens again.
STEP: Disconnect and Reconnect the Printer Power SupplyTop of Form 1
Bottom of Form 1
Unplug the power cord from the wall socket.
Disconnect the power supply from the back of the printer.
Wait 15 seconds.
Reconnect the power supply to the back of the printer.
Plug the power cord back into the wall socket
STEP: Clean the Contacts and Wick the Ink Cartridge
Ensure the printer is powered on.
Lift the scanner unit.
Open the cartridge latches and remove the cartridges from the carrier
Take a clean, damp cloth and wipe the nozzle of the print cartridge from front to back. Turn the cartridge so that you are looking at the contacts on the back side of the cartridge
Using a clean dry cloth, wipe the contacts so that no dust or other contaminants are visible
Clean the contact inside the printer with the dry cloth used to clean the cartridge contacts.
Replace the cartridges in the carrier and close the scanner unit.
STEP: Verify Each Cartridge Carrier Has an Ink Cartridge
Check to make sure the left cartridge carrier contains a black or photo ink cartridge.
Check to make sure the right carrier contains a color ink cartridge.
Remove each cartridge and examine it to make sure the protective tape has been removed from the contacts and the print head.
Replace each cartridge in the proper carrier.
I really appericate all your efforts to fix the issue the issue usually occures if any one of the cartridge is defective or low in ink or both the cartridge are defective.
We can isolate the issue only by removing the both the cartridges out of the printer and check for the expiry dates printed on the cartridges as if the cartridges are expired also leads to this message.
If the cartridge are not expired and have minumial ink in it you can try the below procedure to isolate the defective cartridge
Once the both the cartridges are out of the printer insert only the black cartridge in the printer and check for the message if the message is install color cartridge the black cartridge and printer is detecting fine.
If the message is check right cartridge this shows that the black cartridge is defective.
If the message is insert left cartridge or color cartridge remove the black cartridge out and insert only the color cartridge and check with the message if the message is insert the black cartridge the color cartridge is working fine.
And when the color cartridge is in the printer and if the message prompts to check left or color cartridge the color cartridge seems to be defective so replace the defective one will fix the issue
So in isolation we can find the defective cartridge and fix the issue by replacing the defective one..
Hope this will help you to fix the issue..
Wish you success.
