Question about Poulan PP4218AV 18" Chain Saw
Starts up fine. Idles great.. squeeze throttle, dies 3/4 way through.
Mine had the same problem. it got better after diluting my gas mixture. it is supposed to be 40 to one ratio. I added a little mor gas to the jug and it runs better now. Bottom line is the mixture has to be right on. Too rich will give you the problem you mentionned. not rich enough might burn out the engine.

You may have a weak fuel pump diaphram in the carb. It may be a partially pluged fuel line in the
tank. It may also be a pluged muffler. Good luck.
