Did you try to unplug the unit for five minutes to see if the system resets and the door opens?

We have a Kenmore HE2 Plus (110.47511702) that started failing to complete it's cycles and was getting a F21 code. This washer was rarely ever used (we had it in a house we were trying to sell), and...

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

There are several things which can manifest in a "F21" error, however you stated at the bottom the repair person indicated they remedied an "F20" error.

Before proceeding and generalizing on many things which can cause either of these faults, can you verify it is indeed an "F21" error message in the display ?

I will look for your reply and help move you forward in any manner I can.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

Kenmore 11047511701 Front Load clothes washer: Liquid detergent runs out of dispenser and down front of machine immediately as liquid is poured in instead of holding liquid. Dispenser was not overfilled.

You could have a clog in the housing underneath the dispenser where the water flows through a hose into the tub.
Pull the dispenser drawer completely out.
There is a tab that needs to be depressed to release the drawer and remove it.
Check the opening at the bottom of the housing just inside the dispenser housing opening to see if a small sock or garment is clogging this opening.
Reach down into this opening to see if an item is inside the hose.
This is the normal issue that will cause water to leak out of the dispenser housing.

Wash the dispenser drawer thoroughly with warm water. Make sure that you pull off the siphon covers and wash all siphon holes. This process is described in your owner's manual. Replace the dispenser drawer and try the washer again.

He2 front loading washing machine leak at the soap dispenser regi

Hi dlypooh, thought I would post the solution here as well for anybody who needs to do a search in the future...

Remove the dispenser, pour water into the opening and make sure water can get into the machine freely. Inspect the opening for soap build up.
If water goes down slowly (re: dlypooh), open the washer door and feel around the bellow for anything blocking the water inlet port into the washer (socks can sometimes get wedged up there and cause a blockage).
If it all checks out ok, make sure the machine is properly leveled and not leaning forward.
Hope that helps!

Door staying locked

what happen s if you advance the washer too a drain cycle will it drain out the water???perahps its locked from too much water in unit and for safety/flood reasons it will not open. there is a manual release, if hte water level is down to a respectable amount, andto access it youll need to remove the front panel (3s\ screws across the very bottom of the front of the machine) after teh front access panel is removed, you can stick youre hand up the right hand side (where the lock/latch mechanism is) and youll feel a quarter sized plastic tab protruding form hte bottom of the latch assy, simply pull down on it and it will unlock your door for you. reomve the power cord first!!!!

Kenmore Elite HE4T Washing Machine Diagnostic Test Didn't complete and clothes aren't spun as dry as in the past I have a Kenmore Elite HE4T washing machine and I noticed that recently it isn't getting all of the clothes completely dry from the final spin cycle. Thus, the dryer has to run through two cycles to get the clothes dry. I did a bunch of research and made sure there weren't any kinks or blockages in the drain lines; and opened up the bottom of the washer and cleaned out the drain cleanout. I found a few pennies, but everything seemed to be working ok. I ran a load and had the bottom open so that I could make sure the motor, drain and belt were all working properly. The drain does get the water out of the washer, so the clothes aren't sitting in water, they just don't seem to be spun as fast or as long as they used to. I always put it on the "extra high" spin setting no matter which type of load I run. So, I found a way to run the diagnostic test on the washer and it went through C0-C5 (the agitation step) and all worked great, until it wouldn't come out of C5 after at least 10 minutes and go thru C6-C8. I had to cancel the diagnostic test and hit the "drain and spin" button to get all of the water back out of the washer. BTW, the "drain and spin" seems to get the clothes a bit drier than when I have it run through the "normal" cycle with the "extra high" spin. If anyone has any other thoughts, I would really appreciate it. This unit is in a small space with the dryer attached so to take it out and do repairs is a pretty big hassle. It has had a new control board and two new fill valves in the 10+ years that I have owned it. Questions I have: 1.should I remove the entire drain pump to make sure there isn't anything lodged in it? 2. could it be the belt slipping slightly and keeping the spin from reaching its 1200 RPMs? 3. Anything else I may be missing???
