Question about Kenmore 17822 Free-standing Dishwasher

1 Answer

I was given a basically new kenmore portable dishwasher with no manual. When I tried to use it, water poured everywhere onto the floor. I don't know how to assemble the correct tubes. Can you help or know where I can get a user manual? (Kenwasher Dishwasher 17822) Thanks!

If you contact kenmore you should be able to get a manual. This may sound silly but the drain hose needs to be draining into the sink.

un plug it from the power, for your safety. flip it on its back and look at the hanging part. Has tube become disconnected from it?

Dishwasher not draining

Hi,

Thanks for writing to Fixya.com.

To fix a dishwasher that will not drain, remove any clogs that are blocking the drain line by pouring a paste of baking soda, vinegar and water down the drain, and then pouring boiling water to clear the clog. Repeat the process several times to remove a severely clogged dishwasher drain. Thanks for contacting Fixya and please accept the solution if it has helped you.

Kenmore portable dishwasher not working

is the buzz sound when you ask it to drain or ask it to fill with water? or is the buzz sound when it is trying to wash? IF it is when you ask it to drain either you have something stuck in your air gap causeing no drain or there is something in your pump I would check the easy stuff first by checking the air gap this is if it is buzzing when you ask it to drain. let me know what is the senario.

if you can get underneath it try spinning the motor manually (after turning off the circuit breaker). sometimes the motors on dishwashers get jammed.

I just bought a used Kenmore portable dishwasher with Model #587 1749581. I'd like to find an owner's manual and parts list for this...in particular the hose adapters to fit onto a kitchen faucet. Can't...

You should be able to go to the Kenmore web sit and down load a manual. If there is a manual you can get it on line. Try google put the model number right in the search.

Kenmore Dishwasher 665.1671590 Leaking water at fill funnel.

Step1
Inspect the door gasket. As it ages, the gasket can crack or become hard, preventing it from sealing completely.
Step
2
If the gasket appears solid, adjust the door latch so the door seals tightly. Loosen the screw that holds the door latch to the cabinet. Push the latch in slightly and retighten the screw. Test the door and readjust the latch if necessary.
Step
3
Replace the gasket if water continues to leak after you've tightened the latch. Most gaskets are held by compression in a groove on the door or on the dishwasher cabinet.
Step
4
Pull the old gasket out of its groove, using adjustable pliers (see illustration). Take the gasket to an appliance store to get a replacement.
Step
5
Soak the new gasket in warm water to soften it, then press it into the groove. Start at the top, then work your way down the sides and across the bottom.
