If when you plug into usb cable dose it show that a device was pluged in ? If it dosen't turn on then youre charging cable is bad. If cable isn't bad remove software from youre computer using remove programs, unplug opal from usb then reboot youre software for youre rca opal cd.
Go to eBay,and look for the USB cable( About $ 4.00) for the iPod nano, it works for the Opal,I ordered one,and it is fine.It has a USB connector on one end,and the plug for the Opal. You plug one end where the earplugs go,and the USB connector on your computer. You have to let it charge at least for 3 hours.
right click on the "My Computer" icon and then select properties.. the select the "Hardware" tab the select "Device Manager".. u will see there an icon which is named "OPAL" or better yet select the "Scan for Hardware Changes" icon (A Monitor with a magnifying glass) then you will be prompted to install teh driver for the new device found,, then select the "Install from a list or Specific Location",, the select the option "Don't search,, i will choose the driver to install".. the click next.. and next until it will be finished.. the USB driver then will be installed and ur PC can now detect ur player,,
